An error by the printer in volume 2 of the second edition of
1800 resulted in the omission of 15 lines from the poem "Michael."
The copy from Simon Fraser University is deficient in this way.
In certain copies (such as the one at Swarthmore College),
an attempt was made to rectify the error by pasting in half
a leaf containing the missing lines. In certain other copies
(such as the one at the University of Colorado), the error was
addressed by inserting three leaves or "cancels" in place of
the two leaves containing the error.
