Identified by McCarthy and Kraft as Sarah Rigby, whose father was provisioner to the Warrington Academy. Barbauld was a friend of the family, especially Sarah and her sister Elizabeth, whose high spirits were seen as "dangerous to student morals" at Warrington (231n).
