2202. Robert Southey to John Murray, 11 January 1813 *

My dear Sir

This parcel clears my shelves of part of your books. Two volumes of the Hist. of Dissenters [1]  are returned uncut, – because you sent me this portion of the work when it was only so far published, & afterwards the whole together. I return also an uncut copy of Jovellanos, [2]  because after I had read yours & marked it throughout, meaning to keep it, xxx xx this reached me from Cadiz.

The Dissenters will make a very curious article, [3]  – for which I should be glad to have at hand the Nonconformists Memorial, [4]  – The History of the Three Denominations published & I believe written, by Walter Wilson, [5]  – & Crosby’s History of the Baptists. [6]

yrs very truly

R Southey
