Dating note: This is a conjectural dating. It is possible (though not certain) that Southey sent this as part of a letter of reassurance to the Fricker sisters as he left Bath for London on 10 January 1795. His mission was to search for Coleridge, who had failed to arrive in Bristol as promised. BACK
