Impromptu,
On reading BU0NAPARTE'S Abdication of the Throne,
and his proposed Retreat to the Island of
ELBA.

“J. M. E.”
The Gentleman's Magazine, LXXXIV (April, 1814), p. 376

    Little Nap Horner
        Is up in a corner,
Dreading his doleful doom;—
    He who gave, t'other day,
    Whole kingdoms away,
Now is glad to get Elba Room.
