Elizabeth Walker

Elizabeth Walker (née Bernath) has been teaching in the fields of literature and communications since 2008 at the Universities of Toronto, Waterloo, and South Alabama and at the Azalea School. During this time, Walker has written several essays in the fields of pedagogy and compositional writing. Walker has published recent essays on pedagogy in the early writings of Mary Wollstonecraft, Mary Shelley and Edmund Burke as well as on Shakespeare’s language and gender and culture in Blake. At present, Professor Walker is writing on compositional success in upper-level professional undergraduate studies, on scientific approaches to grammar in undergraduate communications seminars and on science fictional nomenclature in Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time series.
