A MOO is a Multiuser Domain using Object-Oriented programming. In a MOO users build and interact in a shared virtual space. (See Haynes and Holmevik's "Beginner's Guide to MOOing".) The RCHS MOO Schoolhouse is a real-time multi-user virtual environment dedicated to education in Romantic-period literature. It includes classrooms designed and occupied by real-life classes and teachers from around the country, as well as a library of electronic texts, a teachers' lounge, and shared spaces for special events and social interaction.
