Welcome to the Villa Diodati

The Villa takes its name from the house in the Swiss village of Cologny, with a splendid view of Lake Leman, that Lord Byron rented in the legendary summer of 1816. It was, of course, a famous story-telling contest held at the Villa D that served as the impetus for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Romantic Circles' Villa is an integrated web-MOOspace that combines the live-time interactivity of MOOing and chatting with the graphical and text possibilities of the World Wide Web.

The Villa is configured to allow for serious professional exchange but it is also designed to allow for casual conversations among friends and colleagues. Both registered users and guests can login using the menu to the left.

See you on the inside.....
