Evaluation Rubric for Final Project for the Romantic Literature Unit "Rime of the Ancyent Marinere"

To earn credit for this project, each individual group member is required to produce 3 objects that contain both text and an image and/or sound clip. (Providing links to outside web pages is optional.) Once these basic criteria have been met, each student's objects will be assessed based on how well she/he has executed the following:

1. Grammar and Spelling are free of errors.

2. The quality and relevance of the image or sound byte that you included in the object.

3. The connection between the objects and the questions being answered is clear.

4. The text and image/sound clip are obviously in dialogue with one another (i.e. when viewing the object, the relationship between the two is clear.)

5. Each Showing Writing is detailed, effective at conveying the author's point, and is at least 200 words in length.

The Final Project is worth 100 points. Each student's grade will be based both on the quality of his/her objects AND his/her ability to answer questions about his/her objects within the MOO Space on the presentation day. Specifically, students should be prepared to answer the following questions about each of their objects:

1. For which of the poem-room's questions does the object provide an answer?

2. How, specifically, does the object speak to its intended question or questions?

3. How do the objects various components (text, images, sound files, links to external documents, etc.) relate to each other?

4. What specific scene or moment in the poem does the object speak to or about?

5. How do both the object and the question that it answers relate to a thematic reading of the poem as a whole?
