You're currently in the Entry of the Villa Diodati. The decor is sparse and the furniture dusty. No one has lived here since 1816. A few portraits hang on the wall and there is a pile of embroidered drapery lying in a corner. To the [west] stands the entrance to the formal dining room, where most special events are held, and to the [east] you see the library. In the center of the room is a grand staircase leading [up] to the rest of the Villa. To the [south] you catch a glimpse of the dock.
