The Dock
The Dock

You find yourself on the dock of the Villa Diodati, Byron's first home after leaving England in April of 1816. A storm is threatening, and you can' t decide whether to step down to the waterfront for a bit of the sublime or seek shelter in the Villa. Or perhaps you'll pay a visit to the Maison Chapuis, home to the Shelleys and Claire Clairmont during the summer of 1816. If it's knowledge that you seek, you can take a boat to the Schoolhouse or the Conference Center; or, if you re looking for some company, check the Office Hours Schedule for a list of when and where you are sure to find someone here. The Special Events schedule also provides information on the time and place of a variety of planned activities.
