J. Alexandra McGhee is a Ph.D.
candidate in the English Department at the University of Rochester and a project
assistant for the William Blake Archive. Her dissertation, Undead Slaves and
Cannibal Gods, explores the evolution of the zombie in nineteenth-century Britain
and its Caribbean colonies.
